in the same vein it would of been absolutely ridiculous, to use your words, for warlocks to expect to be able to do 56 million corruption ticks from a bug. no, to an extent, you shouldn't second guess whats already up, but that's clearly a bug. you cant tell me you think it was intended that thanks to the internal cooldown, unholy DKs should be able to mitigate 40% of all damage taken for 10 seconds EVERY minute? no of course not. No, but what i am saying is that there are changes which are fairly easy to see how they will work. Spending the whole time trying to guess what it'll look like by the end of beta is absolutely ridiculous. You theorycraft with what's available at the time, if changes are made then new calculations are made. So what you're saying is that it is pointless to debate with what we already have and instead try to play the guessing game to what it'll look like by the end of beta? Scourge and Frost strikes are spec defining, and there's almost no point in going Unholy if you don't have Crypt Fever. The 51's in each tree are basically a perk, but Acclimation, Guile of Gorefiend, Tundra Stalker are very powerful passive talents. I've gotten a lot of love out of both trees, but can't bring myself to pass up the talents at the end of either. I'm curious about this 35/36 build you mention. It's a flat 2% boost to damage dealt while active. Note that Bone Shield doesn't increase Strength. The testing on the internal cooldown seems to put it somewhere between 2.5-3.5 seconds (I don't recall off the top of my head). You can have an entire raid of Warlocks loading you up with DoTs without expending a single charge. One of the particularly interesting aspects of this is that only direct damage attacks can consume a charge. It doesn't reduce damage by 40% for four attacks: it reduces ALL damage taken until four charges are expended, and the time on the internal cooldown allows it to count for many more than 4 attacks. So long as the charges last damage is reduced by 40%. The trick to Bone Shield is that the charges have an internal cooldown, similar to shaman shield spells.
